Google Sheets — real-time collaboration में बहुत आगे
कई लोग एक साथ, एक ही sheet पर, live में बदलाव देख सकते हैं — जैसे Google Docs में होता है। Comments, mentions (@name) और version history built-in हैं, बिना किसी extra setup के।
Real-time co-authoring सिर्फ OneDrive/SharePoint पर save की गई files में मिलती है, और experience Sheets जितना smooth नहीं है।
बिना कुछ setup किए, सिर्फ link share करके कोई भी एक साथ edit कर सकता है — group projects और team work के लिए बेहतरीन।
Excel — advanced formulas, Pivot Tables और Macros में आगे
Excel में ज़्यादा advanced formulas, ज़्यादा powerful Pivot Table options, और VBA (macros) से automation करने की क्षमता है जो Sheets में उतनी गहराई से मौजूद नहीं है।
Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA macros, ज़्यादा chart types और financial modeling के लिए industry-standard।
Basic formulas और pivot tables काफी अच्छे हैं, पर बड़े corporate financial models के लिए उतना depth नहीं देता।
Excel — बिना internet के भी पूरी तरह चलता है
Excel एक desktop application है, इसलिए बिना internet के भी पूरी functionality के साथ काम करता है। Sheets को offline mode enable करना पड़ता है और कुछ features limited हो जाते हैं।
Installed software होने की वजह से internet ना होने पर भी कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता।
Chrome में offline access enable करना पड़ता है, और sync होने के लिए बाद में internet चाहिए होता है।
Google Sheets — पूरी तरह free है किसी भी Google account के साथ
Google Sheets बिल्कुल मुफ़्त है, बस Google account चाहिए। Excel के लिए या तो Microsoft 365 subscription चाहिए या एक बार full price देकर खरीदना पड़ता है।
Microsoft 365 subscription या one-time purchase ज़रूरी — students को college email से discount मिल सकता है।
हमेशा के लिए free, कोई subscription नहीं — बस Gmail account काफी है।
Excel — बहुत बड़ी datasets को तेज़ी से handle करता है
Lakhs of rows वाली भारी files में Excel ज़्यादा तेज़ और stable रहता है, जबकि Google Sheets बहुत बड़े data पर धीमा पड़ने लगता है क्योंकि ये browser-based है।
10 लाख rows तक handle कर सकता है, बड़ी financial datasets और complex calculations के लिए ज़्यादा reliable।
करीब 1 करोड़ cells की सीमा है, और बड़े data पर browser slow होने लगता है।
